Artist + Designer + Researcher
in Interconnection with Plants and the Living World
I am a research-based multidisciplinary artist and designer exploring interconnection with plants, ecosystems, and living organisms. My practice embraces a holistic and sustainable approach, carefully selecting materials and reimagining inanimate substances—such as ink—as living matter. At the heart of my work lie regeneration, ecology, and reciprocity. Through diverse mediums and the investigation of everyday gestures and materials, I invite an embodied awareness of life's interconnectedness.
Since launching Color is Alive in 2021, I have been rethinking our relationship with color through ecosystem-driven approaches and bio-based ink-making, particularly in printing techniques. This ongoing exploration reveals color as something alive—fragile yet transformative—offering new possibilities for ecological creation.
Projects
My work explores interconnection and material storytelling. I collaborate with botanists, scientists, researchers, educational institutions, cultural organizations, and fellow artists, designers, and artisans to experiment, reimagine, and create. These collaborations provide fertile ground to rethink conventional practices, explore new possibilities, and engage deeply with the stories of materials and ecosystems.

Based between the Netherlands and Italy, I am open to teaching opportunities and welcome invitations to share my work.

Printing & Painting on Textiles
with Natural Colour
This course has already started but you can join and catch up with the recordings
Learn over 11 different approaches to printmaking and painting on textiles using natural colour.
Taught online via Plants & Colour by Natalie Stopka, Greta Facchinato, Caroline Ross, Julie Beeler, Winona Quigley, and Jacqui Symons, sharing different techniques for making patterns and prints on fabric that are light-fast and wash-fast.

Plants for Artists
New online year-long learning community
Join a community of artists and practitioners exploring working with plants for paints, inks, pigments, and other uses; to share ideas, explorations, and questions.
Each session includes a guest artist diving into a plant they work with, followed by group sharing and discussion.
