Fleshquake - Publication

An independent publication, part of a multidisciplinary research project examining freedom of movement, beauty ideals, and societal norms. Alongside the video project, it challenges Western notions of beauty, normality, and decency. The publication features the perspectives of performers Saskia Wieser, Federica Dalla Pozza, and Alkis Barbas, intertwining their reflections with insights into the creative process, which involved wearing costumes made of textile and biodegradable seaweed implants.

Fleshquake: The Tremble of the Flesh premiered at the De Tour exhibition at De School, Amsterdam. It was also presented at The New Intimacy during Dutch Design Week 2021 and was part of the final exhibition Het Einde at De School in 2023.
