We Are All Ears
(2018)
We Are All Ears is a research project exploring the act of listening as a sensory and social experience. The title plays on the idiom "I am all ears," reframing it to examine how listening shapes personal identity and collective awareness in 21st-century Western society. The project investigates the intersection of selfhood and community through the lens of the ear and the technological medium of headphones, highlighting their role in modern communication and perception.
Presented as a publication alongside the one-to-one installation FOAM: The Listening Body during the KABK Graduation Festival, We Are All Ears invites readers to reflect on listening as an active, embodied, and relational practice.
