Botanical Ink & Photographic Screenprinting

This project explores the use of bio-based inks derived from plants for screenprinting photographic images. Handcrafted ink was made from Purple Loosestrife (Lythrum Salicaria), a dye plant known for its rich color properties. Sourced from the biological nursery Cruydt Hoeck and grown at Pluk Den Haag as part of the Garden of Colors initiative, the ink was used to create a unique series of prints. The project also featured plant photographs by Dirk-Jan Visser, who collaborated in this experiment as part of The Ink Project.
