A series by artist Nina Djekić, featuring a soundtrack and a text score printed on silk with oak gall ink, historically used in medieval manuscripts. The project explores language’s reflection of our relationship with plants, focusing on vegetal incantations and onomatopoeia to blur the line between noise and meaning. The sound piece weaves human voice, poetic narration, and an atmospheric soundscape to evoke the emotional power of language. In this collaboration, Greta Desirèe Facchinato shared her oak gall ink-making expertise, guiding Djekić through the ink preparation and screenprinting process on silk.
